Interzone Basketball.
Basketball Girls Report On Tuesday 11th of August the Girls basketball team of Avondale intermediate school entered the Western District Basketball zones. The Girls played four games and won three of them, unfortunately they lost one to Rangeview-A grade which was very disappointing but then we were fortunate to verse Rangeview-B grade for 5th place. The most of us probably have different highlights of the day, but the most memorable highlight was getting along with each other and Co-operating well. Congratulations to all the girls that showed their talents on the court and also big congratulations to the Avondale Intermediate boys team who placed 12th. Big thanks to Mr. Gareth Fletcher who organised everything and also to Mr. Stewart Whiting for coaching the girls’ team, helping us and making the girl’s basketball team happen. Basketball girl’s team: Leanora, Teuila, Anjelica, Leilani, Destiny, Reecy, Victoria, Madison, Popua, Aaliyah and Ellen.
