Auckland Chess Competition

On Thursday 6^th last week, 12 boys went to the Kelston Community Centre to enter ourselves in a formal Chess competition. There were 3 groups Avondale 1, 2 and 3. Michael, Naweed, Alexson and Sean were in group 1.In group two there was Arman, Fale, Ricky and Robert and for group 3 the boys were Poasi, Brandon, Ashley and Trent. There were heaps of schools there but we still toppled over most schools. Our team Avondale 1 came 3^rd tied Avondale 2 came 7^th Avondale 3 came 12^th. We all had memorable moments maybe it was winning in 10 seconds or maybe it was the feeling of the first checkmate even though, we all had an awesome time. Thank you Miss Lovell, Mr Calwell and Whaea Kiene for making this a successful trip!
